The add-A-lock is a portable door lock that can be easily installed and removed in seconds on almost any hinged door that opens inwards giving you added privacy once you are locked behind it.

The add-A-lock is made from chrome plated carbon steel and together with its unique shape makes it adjustable to almost any door thickness.

Installation steps:

Steps 1 & 2: Before installing the Add-A-Lock test to see if it will fit. Insert the flat back of the Handle Stamped “TEST TO FIT” (image1) between your door and the frame where the lock is. If it fits smoothly then you have the space to insert the Add-A-Lock. Note: Do not force the door shut if there is no room.

Step 3: Open door towards you and insert the claws of the Add-A-Lock into the strike of the door.

Step 4: The Red Handle with the moving metal rod.

Step 5: Once the claws of the Add-A-Lock’s chrome body are inserted into the strike of the door frame close the door. The Add-A-Lock chrome body is now locked in place.

Step 6: Take the RED handle (image 4) and insert the moving metal rod (image 4) into the triangular hole of the body of the lock (seen in image 6) on the side between the Add-A-Lock’s chrome body and the door handle. The RED handle will slide down till it locks the door in place.

Note: Once you have completed the above steps the Add-A-Lock handle should be wedged against the door. (see image 7) Remove: To remove the Add-A-Lock lift the RED handle and remove the moving metal rod from the triangular hole. The door can now be opened which will release the Add-A-Lock’s body from the strike plate. Keep the Add-A-Lock close and handy so you can reuse it.
