Mount your American license plate to the front bumper holes intended for a Japanese license plate. These Round holes are there from the factory use them instead of making new ones. The holes are too far apart to mount an American license plate directly. The adapter kit makes mounting a license plate quick and easy. The black rubber bumper fasteners shown above expand behind the bumper as their associated screw is turned. This anchors the bracket to the bumper. These rubber fasteners are the same style used by the Japanese to mount their license plates. Your American license plate mounts to the bracket as you would expect.
