The color is not too peachy, but it works for me, especially with the darker color sheets to complement it. The queen size fit is perfect on a queen size mattress which probably is 12 inches thick. I always buy bedspreads, not comforters or quilts as they never fall right. Now I need to find a more masculine spread for hubby's bed. It is very pretty in person. It is a little bigger than a queen which is fine I can deal with that.
