The plow part of it is not low enough to push the sand unless you pile sand up first. The shovel holds what I thought was a dump truck area, onto the truck. Once the shovel is removed, the "bucket" lifts off. The truck does not "dump", it is more of a removable bucket and shovel on the back. A toddler can not maneuver the shovel back into its locking position, so an adult has to help.
