Keep your hearing aids in top working condition by changing these wax filters regularly. The following information includes instructions for the wax filter replacement as well as the dome tip replacement: If you have a receiver in the canal hearing aid, first take off the dome tip by pulling it off gently. If you have a custom, in-the-ear hearing aid then you won't need to do this. To change the wax guard, put the empty end of the filter stick into the old wax guard to remove it. Twist the stick clockwise about half way and pull it straight out together with the old filter. Then, flip the stick around and insert the new wax guard and pull the stick straight out. The hearing aid filter should stay snugly in the hearing aid. It's very important that the new filter go in straight or else it may fall out of the hearing aid. Be sure to put the dome back on if you have a behind the ear hearing aid. A new dome is best.
