They are the same type of prawns (or shrimp, if you're more American than British) you find in any good hotel buffet in Singapore. The type that most kia-su Singaporeans will pile their plates with.

The taste and texture of these prawn are good. A little soya sauce makes it even better in my case. Let's face it. Some of us seafood-lovers binge on these prawns sometimes. So, it's great to get a pack or 2 of this sitting in the freezer, defrost some of it, or all 1kg of it (when you have company) whenever you feel like it.

It's already been cooked, so I'll normally just defrost it and eat it cold. You could heat it, use it in soups, re-cook in sauces, your choice. In any case, you won't have to feel embarrassed about piling these on your plates at home (as opposed to when you're at one of those $49.90 buffets trying to eat your money's worth.) Enjoy!

These prawns are from Borneo, where some of the sweetest prawns are available. These are not prawns farmed on an industrial scale like Indonesian or Vietnamese prawns, where they use tons of antibiotics and chemicals to raise the prawns, hence are much tastier and healthier.
