Designed for fast and light climbing without compromising performance or durability, the Montane Ultra Alpine 38 Plus 5 Backpack is developed in collaboration with Montane’s lead athlete and expert big wall climber Andy Kirkpatrick. Extremely light yet super tough and functional, this climbing pack is made from Dimension Polyant VX-21 fabric to withstand abrasion against rock surfaces, and even boasts a DWR-coating to resist precipitation through passing storms. The Raptor UTL back panel''s minimalist design saves on weight but cut to give an ergonomic body-hugging fit.
The Contach Mesh shoulder straps prevent abrasion on your waterproof shell when the pack is full and being heavily used. Not to mention these shoulder straps have been specifically engineered for climbers, allowing unrestricted movement when reaching and stretching during climbs. The large gear loops on either side of chest harness clipping spare hardware while you''re on the move, and the metal quick-release waist harness serves up extra stability, durability and ease of use. The large wide mouth pack opening with roll-top dry bag closure provides additional storm protection and fast access to gear, and when that''s not enough, the additional five liter pull out roll-top allows for overpacking when you''re walking in to the base of a route.
