How To Use
Wet the block, rub gently onto the shaved area, and then leave to dry on the face.
If you are applying a moisturiser or after shave balm, splash water on the face after you have applied the alum block, pat dry with a towel and then apply your after shave balm or moisturiser.

History of the Alum Block
The alum block is the original antiseptic aftershave which contains mineral salts that were originally used by the ancient Egyptians more than four thousand years ago for its healing and antiseptic properties.

How does an Alum Block work?
The Alum block salts stop bleeding by constricting blood vessels and tightening pores.

Storing the Alum Block
After use, clean the alum block with water, dry it off and store in a dry place where air circulates. If you allow the block to remain moist or exposed to moisture it will simply dissolve.

Sensitive Skin Sufferers Be Aware
If you have dry or sensitive skin then we do not recommend using alum blocks as the minerals used are astringent which means that they draw moisture out of the skin.
