Blackmagic Video Assist 4K is a portable monitor that can easily add professional monitoring and broadcast quality recording functions to any SDI / HDMI compatible camera.
Video Assist 4K is equipped with a 7-inch full HD monitor that is larger than the general camera screen.
Easy framing of shots, allowing perfect focusing.
Built-in high-speed dual UHS-II SD card recorder can use general SD card.
HD and Ultra HD (4K) video can be recorded as a professional 10-bit 4: 2: 2 ProRes or DNxHD file.
Unlike a general single-lens reflex camera that records with highly compressed files that are difficult to handle with video software, Video Assist 4K records with professional 10-bit broadcast quality file compatible with many video software such as ProRes and DNxHR

Since you can start editing immediately after recording, you do not need to spend time converting files.
Also, since two recorders are built in, when one SD card becomes full, it is automatically recorded on the second SD card.
Two LP-E6 battery slots that can hot-swap batteries while using Video Assist 4K are installed for power supply and can be supplied from 12 V DC input.
Since the battery is a series discharge, only one battery is used at a time, so when you connect to the power supply, charge the two batteries in parallel.
Blackmagic Video Assist 4K also has two LANC connectors and two mini XLR inputs for microphone connection compatible with phantom power.
Speakers that are automatically muted during recording are also built in.
