Nesting doll, or Matryoshka, is a set of traditional Russian dolls, making its debut in the late 19th century in Russia.
The name has somewhat gained around the world and become a notable must-have souvenir from Russia.
The doll set consists of multiple separate ones that smaller one is put inside a larger hollower one.
The structure is simple yet intriguing as when you seem to constantly discovery little ones inside. It is an engaging experience.

Material: Basswood.
This set of dolls is like animals playing hide and seek in general appearance. The upper body sticks out of a green bag.
The six dolls have bear, fox, wolf, owl, puppy and mouse paintings respectively, each with similar feature of smiling face.
The largest one is bear. Interestingly it has a mouse standing one the nose. The second is a hot red fox.
Next is the wolf. Don''t be afraid, it''s not intimidating at all, rather cute in cartoon feature instead. The fourth is a yellow feathered owl with two wide open eyes.
For the rest two dolls, one is an adorable puppy with big drooping ears, the other is shy and timid mouse.
All in all, the dolls make great company of kids having fun in their play time, and is truly ethnic and chic.
