Full Body Protection

When you use bug sprays you're not supposed to spray your face and rarely are we able to fully protect ourselves (neck, back). We either have to apply generous amounts of DEET or concentrate the bugs' attention to the spots we don't manage to reach with the spray.

Using The Bug Patch on the other hand supplies your bloodstream with a healthy dose of Vitamin B1 which courses throughout your entire body and through your pores to repel mosquitoes head-to-toe.

How The Bug Patch Keeps The Bites Away
The Bug Patch works by supplying your blood stream with a supplemental dosage of Vitamin B1 directly through your skin. What this does is supplies long lasting doses of natural Vitamin B1 into your blood stream which is ultimately released through your pours to literally taint the chemical mixture that would otherwise make you an appetizing meal to the world of bugs and pests at large.

Since the Vitamin B1 is coursing through your entire circulatory system this means that your entire body is covered and that no part of you will be left appealing to the appetites of mosquitoes and other bloodsucking pests!

What Makes The Bug Patch A Safe And Natural Bug Repellent?
While some of you may be concerned of absorbing too much of a vitamin, please let us explain why you shouldn't be worried about the direct release of Vitamin B1 (Thiamine). It's common knowledge that too much of a build up regarding vitamins is known to result in ill effects, but this is because most vitamins are fat soluble and tend to accumulate in your body due to this reality. However, unlike fellow vitamins, Vitamin B1 is water soluble and does not lend itself to accumulation within your body.

Use of the patch elevates the level of Vitamin B1 in your blood stream where it is then released through your pours to shield you from bugs. Any access Vitamin B1 that may be a concern will simply pass through your body and not accumulate. The only active ingredient in the bug patch is Vitamin B1 leaving us with a safe and effective method of bug and mosquito protection so you can enjoy the summer weather, without the bugs!

How To Use The Bug Patch
Open the main package, don't worry about compromising the integrity of the other patches inside. As long as the patches are still firmly sealed to the backing they will be alright.

Remove the patch from its backing. Usually a couple flicks of the finger nail will get you the leverage to pull it off.

Place the bug patch on a clean, dry, and hairless section of skin 2 hour before full protection is needed so the Vitamin B1 has time to spread throughout your whole body for full body protection!

Move! If you're moving or sweating that means that absorption of the Vitamin B1 will be facilitated through your skin and then back out your pours more effectively. Once the Vitamin B1 is pulsing through your veins you can enjoy that long lasting all natural bug repellent effect you've been waiting for!

Suggested Usage

Highly recommended places to apply the bug patch are to the upper arm, shoulder, lower back, and lower abdomen area. Usually these areas are discreet, protected, and where hair is less abundant. If you are using multiple patches on after the other we've found that the bug patch works best if you apply patches to different areas instead of always placing them in the same spot, it tends to ensure proper delivery of the Vitamin B1 so you can get the results you're looking for.

For 36 hours protection:

Under 80 lbs: Apply 1 patch and remove after 36 hours
Over 80 lbs: Apply 2 patches and remove after 36 hours

36+ hour protection:

Under 80 lbs: Apply 1 patch every 36 hours, applying the replacement to a new area of skin.
Over 80 lbs: Apply 2 patches, replacing one every 24 hours on a new area of skin.

Single Application=Full Day Protection

On hot summer days we can't help but sweat, and unfortunately, sprays come off with it. You end up spraying yourself down multiple times, with bug bites as reminders that it's time to put on some more spray.

The Bug Patch is both sweat proof and waterproof! Better yet, since it's the Vitamin B1 coursing through your veins and being released through your pores that does the repelling, instead of a coating of DEET, it will stay with you for the whole day with just one simple application!

Portable and No Chance of Leak

Have you ever had one of those days where you had a can of bug spray in your pack only to find that it somehow managed to cover your contents in a sticky residue? It can be difficult when you're trying to pack light to keep a just-in-case supply of bug repellent because cans are bulky and a real pain to keep on hand.

Once you've tried these patches and see for yourself how well it protects you from these outdoors pests, you'll forget all about cans of bug spray!

The Bug Patch essentially adds the weight of a feather to your pack and fits perfectly in any bag, purse, or pocket.
It always seems like we get swarmed when we least expect it, and when you always have some patches on hand you'll save yourself a whole lot of itching!

When compared to the bug sprays that leave behind a grimy residue and noxious odors, The Bug Patch provides you with an alternative that spares you these nagging inconveniences so you can enjoy your time outside that much more. In the summer time, we do all we can to enjoy as much outside as possible. Whether we're enjoying the great outdoors, rooting for our children from the sidelines, or just going to an outdoor event, The Bug Patch can be an absolute life saver for you, your friends, and your family!

While the color of the clothes we wear, our body heat, and the movements we make outdoors will always put us on the radar of a mosquito, the key point to bear in mind is that it is actually what is released through our pours that sends the signal of how desirable our selection as a meal will be.

Through much analyzing we've discovered a correlation between those who have a deficiency of Vitamin B1 in their systems and among those most likely to be inundated with the unwelcome appetite of mosquitoes, ticks, and flies.

ZIKA virus (ZIKV) Q&A

Q. What is Zika virus ?

A. Zika Virus disease is caused by the Zika virus and was first discovered in 1947. It is named after the Zika Forest in Uganda. The virus can be transmitted by an Aedes aegypti mosquito which, in Australia, can be found in Tropical North Queensland. It is not usually found in other parts of Australia. The aedes mosquito is also known to transmit viruses like Dengue and Ross River Fever and is sometimes called the “Dengue” or “Yellow Fever” mosquito.

Q. How can I catch Zika virus?

A. The Zika Virus, like Dengue and Ross River Fever viruses, is spread if you are bitten by a mosquito carrying the virus. Recent cases have been linked to travellers from countries where Zika is known.

Q. What are the symptoms?

A. The symptoms are usually mild and may present as fever, rash, joint pain, headache and conjunctivitis. These symptoms are unfortunately general to many viruses. Symptoms generally last for 2-7 days.

Q. What should I do if I think I have been bitten by a mosquito and think I have the virus?

A. See your GP or local practitioner. If you are returning from a country that has known Zika virus use mosquito protection measures and see your GP immediately.

Q. How can I prevent being bitten?

A. The aedes mosquito is a container breeder, so it will breed in small areas/pools of water such as plant pots or water bowls. Regularly eliminating or screening any places where water can accumulate within 10 metres of your home will greatly help to reduce the problem at home. Wearing suitable clothing like long sleeves and long pants can also help reduce bites. In addition, use a good insect repellent to avoid being bitten, as the aedes mosquito likes to bite during the day.
