DESCRIPTION

The epitome of innovative Eastern craftsmanship, this handcrafted jewelry armoire artfully combines the rich heritage of traditional Chinese design with a uniquely functional jewelry storage solution. Created by expert artisans in China's Guangdong province, this wonderful piece features a sturdy wooden frame ensconced in a thin layer of black leather stretched tightly around the frame. The front showcases hand-painted vignettes of traditional Chinese life featuring many children playing, rendered in deep hues of gold, green, red and black, while the sides show magnificent peonies in bloom. In Chinese tradition, peonies symbolize modesty and marital happiness. The deftly lined interior offers a remarkable array of storage options. Six drawers in graduated sizes pull open, allowing you to tuck away smaller personal treasures such as earrings and bracelets. Below, double doors open to reveal ample cabinet space for larger items. Flanking the drawers are unique hinged panels with rows of hooks, perfect for hanging anything from keys to necklaces. The lid also swings open to display a mirror framed by delicately painted blossoms to complement the exterior motifs. Finishing this masterpiece are drawer pulls and finely scrolled corner braces in antiqued iron. A superior work in which art meets practical design, this stunning jewelry armoire is sure to become a treasured family heirloom. Measures 51 inches high x 20 inches wide x 14 inches long.
