You Will Need
1 pack of Penang Hokkien Prawn Mee Paste (250g)
White or brown rice vermicelli, or noodles of your choice
650g spareribs
Cooked prawns
Chinese Spinach (Kangkong)
Beansprouts
Fried shallots (Optional for garnish)
- Combine 2 litres of water (8 cups) and spareribs with the paste. Cook on medium flame for 30 minutes.
- Cook vermicelli, kangkong and beansprouts separately. Add cooked prawns.
- Put together a bowl of cooked vermicelli, kangkong, beansprouts and prawns. Add the soup and spareribs. Garnish with fried shallots. Makes 5 portions.
Storage Tips
Store any unused portions in an airtight container for 3-5 days in the refrigerator.
Can be kept in the freezer for up to a month.
