What is the Pilates Ring?

The Pilates Ring is a versatile prop that adds lightweight resistance and an extra challenge to your Pilates workout. It is usually made of flexible metal or rubber, about 13' to 15' in diameter with small pads on either side. It provides gentle to moderate resistance in an exercise and also helps your body to activate isolated muscles more effectively.
The Ring provides resistance that helps to tone muscles in a simple, balanced and efficient workout. Use the ring to work arms and upper body, compressing it between both hands and strengthen leg muscles by compressing the ring between ankles or thighs.
