Our Daliah Hair Sticks are made of clear aqua African recycled glass beads. These fabulous beads are made by the Krobo People of Ghana by crushing glass to a fine powder and heating it so that the particles fuse together. The glass is then poured into clay molds, with a cassava leaf stem used to make the hole. They are baked in an oven and the glass fuses and the cassava stem burns up. This technique has been used in Africa for centuries. All Tidal Hair Sticks are handmade and are limited editions. The base is a 5 inch black laquered wood with a unique tapered shape. Always handle Tidal Hair Sticks by the base and not the beaded end to ensure a long lifetime.
