AREDS 2 Formula (contains all 6 essential nutrients from AREDS 2 study)
Contains Lutein, Zeaxanthin, Zinc, Copper, Vitamins C and E. Pro-Optic contains Natural Vitamin E. Throughout the duration of both ARED studies, patients were given synthetic Vitamin E (a less expensive, petroleum based version). We use Natural Vitamin E because its a safer more effective form of the vitamin. By using Natural Vitamin E, the Scientific Equivalent to 400IU''s of synthetic Vitamin E is half (200IU''s).
