Manufactured by Anton Schneider, this authentic cuckoo clock was hand-carved in the Black Forest region of Germany. Clock is made of wood, with wooden dial, wooden hands, and wooden house. The cuckoo bird is also made of wood. The cuckoo bird comes out to ""cuckoo"" the count of the hour, every hour, and ""cuckoos"" once every half hour. There is a silencing lever on the left side of the clock, to silence the clock at night. The weights have to be pulled up every day.This clock comes with a VDS Certificate of Authenticity, from the Black Forest Clock Association. Only clocks that are hand-made in the Black Forest region of Germany, with mechanical clockworks, qualify for this certification. Cuckoo clock measures 13.4 H x 9.1 W x 6.3 D inches (measurements include the carvings).
