The Bulletproof Straight is a hybrid carabiner that combines the benefits of steel and aluminum carabiners. It is made from aluminum with the exception of a steel reinforcement element. This provides protection at the point that is most susceptible to abrasion and solves one of the greatest problems experienced by sports climbers: edge wear. --The History of EDELRID-- EDELRID was founded by Julius EDELmann and Carl RIDder in 1863.
