Quick Usage Instructions for U8 Spy Camera(as User Manual quite hard to understand):
a) Before usage, always charge the U8 Spy camera via USB port of a running Laptop/PC. When u plug in the U8 Camera to charge via USB port, there will be a Blue LED light flashing. After fully charged, Blue LED will go OFF.
b) Then insert a FAT32 formatted(by default for new memory card) microSD card into the U8 Camera with correct side of microSD card until it is locked with a "click" sound. If u DO NOT insert a microSD card into U8 cam and u power it up, it will vibrate and BLUE LED light will blink continuously.
c) POWER ON- Long press the ON-OFF(K1) button. Perform the same to POWER OFF.
d) Photo taking - Short press the Photo/Video(K2) button to take one photo each time.
e) Video recording - Long press the Photo/Video(K2) button to start video recording, another short press to stop.
f) Motion-Detect video-recording - Short press Motion-Detect(K3) button to start motion-detect initiated recording, another short press to stop.
g) Hard Reset-to force U8 camera OFF - Press-n-Hold the ON-OFF(K1) button AND then press Photo/Video(K2) button together for 2 sec and release BOTH buttons to force it OFF and then u power it up by long press ON-OFF(K1) button again.
h) Longer Operation time- U can have longer runtime by charging Batt & run camera/video functions concurrently by ensuring U8 is in OFF state then press-n-hold (K3) button FIRST then insert into a USB Port(or a USB Battery PowerBank to charge) and then release the (K3) button when LED light turns RED. From there, u can go into Pic/Video mode.

In this way, the SQ8 camera will draw power from the external power bank that u have inserted and it will record continuous until your memory card run out of storage space.The video recorded will be closed after each 5min of recording,and then it will start a new video file and continue recording. This process will continue until power is off or it run out of file storage space.
- h) Motion-Detect video-recording -After power up SQ8 camera, go into your desire video Mode of Video(720p) or Video(1080p) resolution and then Long-press MODE button for 3 sec until LED show BLUE and 3 times flashing of RED to indicate Motion Detection mode is on for your particular 1080p or 720p resolution video taking.
- i) Night Vision - After power up SQ8 camera, go into your desire Mode of Photo, Video(720p) or Video(1080p) and then Long-press ON/OFF button for 2 sec and LED will flash RED light for 2 times to indicate Night Vision LED is ON. Long-press ON/OFF button for 2 sec again and LED will flash RED light for 3 times to indicate Night Vision LED is OFF.
