Note: Not all of the DVI interface can turn into a VGA， DVI-I interface only through this line to the DVI signal into VGA signals. 

 

DVI interface has a variety of specifications， into DVI-A， DVI-D and DVI-I. 

 

    DVI-A is actually a VGA interface standard， just a new name only. So LCD monitors with DVI interface is not necessarily true digital LCD display. 

 

DVI-D is to achieve a true digital signal transmission. 

 

DVI-I-take-the two interfaces， when the DVI-I connection VGA device that acts as a DVI-A; when connected to DVI-I DVI-D devices， they played a role in the DVI-D. 

 

 

For compatibility with traditional analog display devices， most graphics cards now have adopted the 24 digital signal pin and 5-pin analog signal DVI-I interface.

DVI接口有多种规格，分为DVI-A、DVI-D和DVI-I。

   DVI-A其实就是VGA接口标准，只是换汤不换药而已。所以带有DVI接口的液晶显示器并不一定就是真正的数字液晶显示器。

DVI-D则实现了真正的数字信号传输。

 DVI-I通吃上述两个接口，当DVI-I接VGA设备时，就是起到了DVI-A的作用；当DVI-I接DVI-D设备时，便起了DVI-D的作用。

为了兼容传统的模拟显示设备，现在的大部分显卡都采用了24只数字信号针脚和5只模拟信号针脚的DVI-I接口。
