After about two weeks, they were completely broke in and pretty comfortable. The only issue i had with moisture came from the crack in the soles. I can only say this has not been my experience. These reviewers must have seen a bad lot. I've had mine for about 4 years and they have held up great. They are waterproof leather, sturdy and comfortable to wear all day. I think they look better than most work boots with a bit of the leather grain showing a darker brown.
