This is to give a bit more information regarding my own installations, my improvements and findings. If you are installing this for the first time like most of you are, it could take about 30 min to 2 hours. The only difficult part (and needing patience) is connecting the red wire of the LED to a metal "connection point" in your iPhone. Please read the whole manual included in the kit so you know what to expect.

You have to unscrew 2 screws at the bottom of your phone, removing the back panel and unscrew another 5 screws covering the connection point, up to this point it's easy. After this you will need some patience and a steady hand. In my opinion anyone that has an healthy mind, is forceps handy and can handle small objects can do it. Just follow the manual and you should be fine. I even skipped a few steps and it works as it should be (eg: Not removing the battery power strip, so I have power to test the LED).

FAQ:

Q: ARGH The led doesn't light up!!! I quit!! What am I doing wrong?

A: A common mistake is that people do not power on the screen. Off course the LED isn't going to light up without power :)  If you did that read on! Connect the BLACK wire first to the screw of the iPhone as the manual states then take the red wire and touch it to the connection point and power on your phone. If connected right the LED should light up. If it doesn't light up try to "jiggle" a little on the connection point. If it lights up carefully use the tape to hold the red wire in place and work from there.

Q:  I am on this for 5 hours and I the LED isn't come on. Is it maybe broken?

A: Maybe but the chances are very slim as I test all my LED's before sending out. But when in doubt, you can test it with a CR2025 button battery ( those flat ones, not the thick small) widely available and hold the wires one on each side. If it still doesn't light try reversing the lights on the LED.

Q: Do I need to power off my phone?

A: No I installed all kits with the phone still on. So you can immediately test the LED instead of closing it all up and then finding out it doesn't work.

Q: The back cover is "bulging" cause the LED is to fat and light is shining out of my phone everywhere.

A: Manual states to use the foam sticker to hold the LED. I find it unnecessary thick so use the thin double sided tape used to hold the red wire. Very thin and you need just 2 tiny bits to hold top and bottom of the LED in place. More then enough! Work the cables along the side and don't stack them!

Q: LED stays on forever!

A: You installed the red wire "wrong". Meaning it might be touching other parts besides the connection point. Remove the red wire and reattach it (I know its hard but you have to do it). Try to put some extra tape to secure the wire.

Q: I love it! I'm so going to show this to everyone!

A: I agree. It's awesome! But I strongly recommend you protect the back of the phone with either a case that has a cut out for the apple logo or a "screen protector" for the back. This is after all not an apple made product the the back cover is not as sturdy as a original one (not that the original ones are unbreakable..).

Q: The back panel has a silver foil on the logo, should I remove it?

A: No it supposed to be like that. It makes the back panel look more like the original cover having a "silver/mirror" look when the LED isn't on. You can remove it thus making the logo part look transparent. It makes the LED a bit more bright but less genuine look when the LED is off cause of the white LED.
