ZYMOX PLUS Otic HC features increased potency of the patented LP3 Enzyme System PLUS four additional biofilm-reducing enzymes formulated to destroy the hard-to-penetrate biofilm slime layer that protects and hides microbes. Contains 1% Hydrocortisone. Effective broad spectrum antibacterial and antifungal. Broad spectrum antibacterial and antifungal properties. Biofilm reducing formula works on resistant microbes more quickly and efficiently. Biofilm is an ill-defined mix of polysaccharides, nucleic acids and proteins encased in a slimy matrix. The four additional enzymes in ZYMOX PLUS work synergistically to attack this mix to break down the complex structure, prevent adhesion and work to metabolize the biofilm components. When combined with the patented antimicrobial LP3 Enzyme System, the results are antibacterial and antifungal with effective biofilm destruction. As in all the ZYMOX products, it work best in a "dirty" environment. NO Pre-Cleaning is required. The enzymatic formula reacts with the exudate, pus or infectious debris to activate the enzymatic action.
