The ancients used milk baths to nourish their skin, Diane de Poitiers, the mistress of King Henry the II of France was rumored to bath in milk to keep her youthful look - even Nero's wife was said to bathe in milk. The truth is, milks contain lactic acid which gently cleanses the skin, Beta Hydroxy Acid which acts as a mild exfoliant (great for winter chapped skin), and vitamins, fats and proteins, all acting together to form a nourishing, moisturizing addition to bath water. Mineral Salts from France are further added to soften the harshness of the water and the gentle scent of Lavender fills the air with relaxation.
