I am pleased to report that it does not fall apart if you use it, it seems to hold up just fine for everyday use. The material is soft, not stiff, but when it is made up, it has a nice crisp look. I also bought chocolate colored sheets a couple new pillows for the shams. I just put the pillows I use behind the shams and it takes about a minute in the morning to make it look as good as it looks in the picture. I have a full size 10" memory foam mattress with a 3" topper, and the full/queen fits perfect. It is not too long or too short on any side. I looked for a long time to find something that I would be happy with for longer than a whim, and I think I made the right choice. As for the color, I would say that the picture displayed is pretty true to what you get. I can see how the different lighting may cast it to look a different shade. Fortunately for me, it looks as good in my room as it does in the picture and I am very happy with my purchase. Was already upset that the Queen size was priced higher then either the King or Cal King but the price was low enough I let that go......Walmart's reasoning was that the queen size was more in demand - not priced by the fact that there's more material and work to make the bigger ones! This was to be a gift for a friend who really liked the online photo - but was looking forward to BLUE not green. Also when I went in to pick up the set there was a lot of stitching that just wasn't visible in the online photo. For the money, this comforter set can not be beat. It is very elegant and classy looking, and looks far more expensive than it is. It is pretty but also masculine enough that my husband likes it, also. It is usually a blue-green color, but in certain light can seem to more greenish-blue. The small pillows are a great addition to finish off the complete look. When buying from over retailers, I generally have to spend over 100 dollars in order to get good quality in a comforter and that was not the case this time.
