The Carista OBD adapter is a unique new device that allows you to use the Carista app on both Android and iOS to customize your vehicle and perform advanced, manufacturer-specific diagnostics.

OBD2 Diagnostics and Emission Testing
Check and reset your "Check engine" or "Service engine soon" light with the Carista app! You can see the fault code and description and reset the light. You can also check whether your vehicle is ready for state emission testing. This functionality is compatible with all OBD2 vehicles (1996 and newer in the US) and is FREE in the app.

Vehicle Customizations
Together with the Carista app, this adapter can personalize the electronic settings on your Audi, BMW, Mini, Lexus, Scion, Toyota or VW (supported models only; see Carista's web site for more info). An additional in-app software purchase is required for this functionality

Manufacturer-Specific Diagnostics
Carista can also do advanced diagnostics and check/clear airbag, ABS and other manufacturer-specific lights and fault codes on supported models from Audi, BMW, Mini, Lexus, Scion, Toyota and VW. An additional in-app software purchase is required for this functionality.

Where to Get the Carista App
You can find the Carista OBD2 app on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The app is free to download, but if you'd like to use the manufacturer-specific functionality (customizations and advanced diagnostics), you have to upgrade to the Pro Package as an in-app purchase.

Compatibility with Other Apps
This adapter can also be used with other ELM327-based apps on Android (Torque, DashCommand, etc.). It cannot be used with other apps on iOS (besides Carista) due to the proprietary Bluetooth LE communication that Apple forces on us.
