Tinderbox 100% Pure Tea Tree Essential Oil - a.k.a. Universal Healer

Properties: Antibiotic, Antifungal, Antiseptic

Essential oils, the versatile tools of the aromatherapist, are the essence of plants. They are the most concentrated form of herbal energy, representing the spirit or “soul” of the plant. They are responsible for the plant’s fragrance.

Genuine essential oils are distinguished by a remarkable diversity of complex substances; an ever changing mélange of active ingredients, secondary components, and trace compounds which lend them their scents. It is important to use only pure oils for aromatherapy.

The Tinderbox is highly discerning about the quality and authenticity of essential oils and offers you an excellent range of pure, botanical oils from sound sources.

How to use:

For use inhalations steam
Pour about 4-6 cups of boiling water into a large glass bowl. Quickly drop 4-5 drops of Tinderbox Eucalyptus into the water. Hold your head over the bowl and place a towel over your head. As you do this, your eyes should be closed; and breathe in the steam slowly and deeply. Keep your head under the towel, over the hot water for about 10 minutes. Add a few drops of Lavender or Tea tree oil for a relaxing steam.

For ACNE CLEARING steam
Acne caused by clogged pores and hormonal imbalances can cause havoc on an otherwise healthy complexion. Add a few drops of Tindebox Lavender, Eucalyptus and Tea Tree Oil to the steam facial water and lower your face over the steam using a draped cloth for 10 to 15 minutes. These ingredients are natural cleansers that will penetrate and deep clean clogged pores. Tea tree oil and eucalyptus are known for their exceptional antiseptic properties, and soothing lavender offers anti-inflammatory effects.

Use a cotton swab to apply a drop of Tinderbox Tea Tree Oil directly to blemishes or mix a few drops (2-6 or so depending on the severity of the situation!) with your regular moisturizer or cleanser. Avoid the eye area.

For Nail Fungus

Wipe dry the infected nail after cleaning it with water. Pour few drops of Tinderbox Tea Tree Oil directly on to the nails and scrub the oil so that it penetrates the thicker layers of the infected nail. Apply twice daily.

Pure Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) - 15ml

Melaleuca alternifolia, commonly known as Narrow-leaved Paperbark, Narrow-leaved Tea-tree, Narrow-leaved Ti-tree, or Snow-in-summer, is a species of tree or tall shrub in the plant genus Melaleuca. Native to Australia.

Tea tree oil is purported to have antiseptic properties. It has a long history of traditional use. Australian aboriginals used tea tree leaves for healing skin cuts, burns, and infections by crushing the leaves and applying them to the affected area.

Tea tree oil contains consituents called terpenoids, which have been found to have antiseptic and antifungal activity. The compound terpinen-4-ol is the most abundant and is thought to be responsible for most of tea tree oil's antimicrobial activity
