General Information

Blackmores Vitex Agnus-Castas is a traditional herbal remedy used to relieve pre-menstrual sympt-oms such as breast pain, breast tenderness and fluid retention. It can also assist in regulating the menstrual cycle.

Vitex agnus castus is indicated for sympt-oms of premenstrual syndrome (including premenstrual acne), and irregularities of the menstrual cycle. It is believed to act primarily on the pituitary-hypothalamic axis, rather than directly on the ovaries. Vitex inhibits release of follicle stimulating hormone, whilst stimulating the release of luteinising hormone. These effects result in a shift in the oestrogen and progesterone ratio in favour of the latter, and Vitex may be of assistance in cases of progesterone deficiency (relative to oestrogen).

EACH CAPSULE CONTAINS:

Active ingredient per tablet: Vitex agnus-castus (Chaste tree) equiv. to dry fruit 660mg; (standardised to contain agnuside 550mcg).

Sug-gested Use:ADULT DOSAGE:

General wellbeing: Take one tablet three times daily before meals, or as professionally prescribed.
