AHAs are like Glycolic acid, Lactic acid, Malic acid and Citric acid. BHA is usually referring to Salicylic acid, while Papain (derived from Papaya fruit) is the most common enzyme used. It is believed that AHAs are able to penetrate the top layer of the skin to remove dead skin cells, promote cell renewal, and improve sun damaged skin. BHA, or Salicylic acid, on the other hand, is able to reach deep into the pores to remove dirt, unclogs it and reduce inflammation. Fruit enzyme, like Papain, is also used to deep cleanse the skin, stimulate cell renewal and improve skin tone and texture just like you would achieve with a chemical peel except it is a lot less harsh as compared.

These AHAs and fruit enzyme works to exfoliate the top layer of the skin layer, soften and stimulate cell renewal to bring forth a more radiant and youthful complexion. Unlike other peeling pads out there, this Milk Moisture Peeling Pad is a lot gentler and more hydrating. I assume that is because of the abundance of other skin-loving ingredients and the brand’s own G4D Active™ Complex.

In my opinion, this peeling pad seems to be more appropriate for someone with a normal to dry skin, or someone who is thinking about trying a gentler chemical exfoliant/peeling product.
