I work in rough, rocky terrain and a pair of these will last me about 3-4 months. A fellow co-worker buys these as well, and he gets 6 months out of a pair. They are water resistant, more so than most. I recommend rubbing mink oil on them weekly to make them even more water resistant. Eight months ago I bought a pair of Herman survivor AV a Wellington boots for half the price of the Georgia boots Wellington style. These have no break in time because their width was more comfortable on my foot. The leather is thicker and softer. They have been more durable. These boots are better than boots I've worn and these are half the price.
