About this item: Sea currents swirl on a soft blue robe. Designed by Arthur Karvan, the motifs are created by hand with traditional batik techniques. The short robe features 3/4 length sleeves, and wraps and ties with a belt. Due to the nature of the technique, no two pieces are ever identical, as the coloring process depends in part on the brightness of the sun. - Hand wash separately in cold water

About our Artist: My goal is to design original batik of high quality. To do so, I search for the best silk, the best cottons, and the best linen for my work. I am constantly experimenting in innovative ways - the people who collaborate with me have free rein to approach their work as they see fit to produce the best result. For me, unexpected results are to be embraced as part of the uniqueness of handcrafted textiles. And I believe that the quality and beauty of my designs comes from the freedom of this approach....
