Who needs this?

There has been a fair bit of advertisement on this digital thing. What it means to the layman is this:

Starhub TV/Singtel Mio subscribers – do nothing, for those TVs connected to your subscription box. For those TVs not connected to the subscription boxes, you still need to get a DVB-T2 setup box and/or anntena like everyone else.

Everyone else who watches Mediacorp shows:

So if you have:

We have the DVB-T2 set top box, and the antenna available.

If your TV has either of these stickers, then you just need a digital antenna

Features of this antenna:
It is powerful and lightweight with a 50-mile range. Can be placed on the table or stuck onto a vertical surface.

You can stick it on a window for better reception

Or on a wall

On a flat surface is fine too.

Troubleshooting

“No Signal” message when connected to a set–top box.
Your set-top box may have the Antenna Power ON option set, and it is interfering with the powered amplifier (amplifier is plugged into a power source). In this case, do not power up the amplifier, or turn off the Antenna Power ON setting in your set-top box. If your set-top box can work with a powered amplifier, your reception will be better.

Some free-to-air channels are not showing whilst doing a channel scan.
Try the scan again without the amplifier powered on. The antenna will still work.

Distorted images for selected channels.
The signals are still off-the-air, so if there's stormy weather, certain channels may get distorted. Just shift the antenna around, and try turning on the amplifier on the antenna if it was not powered on before.
