In the Star Wars universe, these Gunships were used by the Galactic Republic during the clone wars for transport and support of their vast armies. The 'real' gunship was well armed with two missile launchers, eight air-to-air missiles, four laser cannon turrets and three anti-personnel turrets, making it very formidable indeed. The ship sported a special weapons innovation, the ion repeater, which could cut through buildings and personnel with ease. While carrying 30 clone troopers into battle, the craft provided incredible maneuverability combined with overwhelming weaponry that even the most experienced enemy pilots struggled to avoid.Feature
