Organic LushProtein™ wheatgrass is made from the dried and ultra fine powdered young sprout of organically grown wheat plant (Triticum aestivum). Wheatgrass is an incredibly nutrient dense food source rich in fibre, protein (25%) and a number of vitamins, minerals, enzymes and chlorophyll. Well known for its health boosting benefits, wheatgrass powder is shown to be alkaline meaning it helps to balance acidity levels within the body thus help prevent bacteria and viruses spreading. In addition, its high phytochemical (chlorophyll) content acts as a potent antioxidant and cleansing agent (reduce the effects of harmful toxins and free radicals). Please note that while our Wheatgrass has been grown in an organic environment with no use of pesticides/herbicides, this product has not been "certified" organic.
