SUMMARY:

A type of fatty acid, medium-chain-triglycerides (MCTs) are quickly absorbed by the body and used for energy and are less likely to be deposited as fat, when compared to long chain fatty acids.
There are four types of MCT’s: caproic acid, caprylic acid, capric acid and lauric acid
Consume 1 tablespoon of MCT oil directly, or mix into water, fruit juice or a sport drink. Try using as a unique substitute for conventional oils in salad dressings, sauces and cooking.
