I sometimes go for a week with out shaving and my wife hates it. However, with the Braum Series 5 razor, it is not nearly as much of a chore and the results are nearly as good as if I used a regular razor. I have an older Series 3 razor and this is way better. It shaves closer and easier. The pivoting head is an excellent feature which lets you keep the razor at a near 90 degree angle anywhere on your face. I haven't used the self cleaner yet, but my facial hair isn't super thick so I just tap out the hair and rinse it under a faucet. I also read that you can use alcohol to rinse of the excess water so it won't rust. I haven't owned it long enough so I will try that after the cleaning solution is used up. I also have read that it is hard to get under you nose, but it's no that bad if you make an extra effort to make sure you get it. All-in-all, I love this razor and would recommend it. As my wife would say, I am old school. I have always used a regular razor. After a bit of urging from my wife I agreed to try the BRAUN SERIES 5 electric razor. I have to say I am impressed. It shaved a lot closer then I thought it would. My wife says my face looks smoother. I have dark hair so it shows up with just a little growth. I like the pivoting head & locking feature. I love it is self cleaning too. I like that it is charged from 2 directions (handle & cleaning/resting dock) What I don't like is that it doesn't do the best job on my neck, even with the pivoting head, and the plug when charging directly to the razor is easily bumped loose. I still have to use a regular razor to finish shaving but that may not be the case long as I keep using it. I can't use conventional razors because I get shave bumps really bad like many black men. Instead I just got used to always having a bit of stubble on my face and continued to shave my face with a beard trimmer. Before even receiving the Braun 5 series shaver, I watched a few YouTube videos about it and started to get excited for it to arrive. The day it arrived I took some before shots and then shaved my whole beard off with it. My skin has never felt so smooth on my face. I also like the trimmer so I can line everything up and keep my mustache. The best part is that the shave is so close with this shaver that three days later everything still looks fresh. Normally I wear a goatee and mustache, sometimes with a bit of a line across the beard area. I know with this razor that I can groom myself quickly, precisely and
