For proper detoxification of toxins, adequate liver function is essential. A number of
botanicals have demonstrated the ability to improve the livers detoxification function
as well as to increase the livers output of bile.

Liver Cleanse is a potent combination of herbs that work synergistically to enhance the
function of the liver and is specifically helpful during a comprehensive detoxification
program. The herbs in this formula enhance the production and flow of bile, which helps
to optimize metabolism and the excretion of substances detoxified by the liver. Several
of these herbs also provide support for the kidneys.

Due to the inability to obtain a source of fringe tree (Chionanthus virginicus) that
consistently meets Thornes specification for this ingredient, and because extensive research
indicates that berberine supports the liver, we have replaced fringe tree with berberine
(Berberis aristata). Instead of the powder being a pale tan color, the powder now has the
distinctive yellow color associated with berberine.
