Begg of Ayr, Scotland has long been regarded as the finest maker of woven cashmere scarves anywhere in the world. Though many shops offer Begg, it is the rare one which sells the top-of-the-line Arran Cashmere. Even fewer offer the more substantial 14" x 72" scarf size, opting instead for the 30% smaller, 11.8" x 60", less costly version. We carry only the larger 14" x 72" scarf size. Light colors, due to additional handling, are more expensive than dark colors. Created in the very traditional old-world way, Arran scarves are incredibly lustrous, significantly hefty, and buttery soft - probably the softest cashmere on the planet. They are durable, not flimsy, and with proper care can last a lifetime. Arran Cashmere scarves are available in this selection of Tartan patterns as well as a range of nine Dark colors and eighteen Light colors. All are suitable for men and women.
