Mango wood is naturally light brown in color. The wood can also be oiled or treated to change the color, and takes to these treatments well. It is an excellent material for home &kitchen accessories. It is more vulnerable to outdoor weather. Mango wood does not hold up as well in prolonged inclement weather, so you should probably limit use for indoors.
Mango wood product is naturally anti-bacterial so cleansing these items occasionally helps control the amount of bacteria that can grow on the wood. Despite popular belief, the porous surface of wood actually deprives the bacteria of the warmth and moisture needed to survive and bacteria actually die on the surface within seconds.

Occasional care and maintenance
1. Clean with a clean, dry or slightly damp cloth(a slightly moistened cloth is advisable).
2. Wash in warm soapy water, rinse and dry immediately and to nourish and protect the natural wood, rub an edible oil such as olive oil or cooking oil into the surface with a cloth.
2. Never soak them in water for too long to prevent splitting or cracking. Use warm water and mild soap to wash the surface.
3. Do not use spray polishes as they may leave a residue on the product
General care and maintenance
1. Keep away from direct sunlight and avoid above average room temperatures or extreme changes in temperature.
2. Never put wood items in the microwave oven.
3. Any excess must be removed with a dry cloth.
4. Do not place very hot or very cold object on product
Notification:
The smoky smell like bacon is normal. We dry the finished products in the wood chip-fired kilns for 170-200 hours in order to make them completely dry. This smell is simple because product were 2-3 weeks in the wood fired kiln. Normally the smell and the solvent smell will be gone after keep products in airy room few days.
