Tip:
Cleaning seatbelts can be very difficult due to the small surface area, multiple stain sources and retractable action of the seatbelt.
Recommend these simple steps and Malco products to clean seatbelts:
STEP 1
Choose a suitable upholstery cleaner. Try Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner as it removes most common automotive stains and soils and doesn't leave any oily residue behind.

STEP 2
Extending the seatbelt fully will help with the cleaning process. You can use clamps to hold the belt down to full extension.
STEP 3
Spray the belt with the Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner and rub briskly to create foam. Spray enough product on the seatbelt to thoroughly saturate. Remember to move the part of the belt to different locations, because there is dirt trapped beneath.

STEP 4
Using a brush and scrub the seatbelt in a vertical motion. This will allow all of the dirt particles to loosen.

STEP 5
Use a micro-fiber cloth and pinch the belt firmly between the rag. Squeeze the belt while pulling the rag from one end to the other. You may have to do this several times before satisfactory results are obtained.
For especially dirty seatbelts, repeat steps 2-4 as many times as necessary.
