The grits are added to 4 cups of boiling water, then simmered for 30 minutes.
1-3/4 cup water is added to the gravy mix, then stirred and simmered for 20 minutes.
Serves 4.
Saute shrimp in butter and add to the cooked gravy mix. Serve over the cooked grits.
