About our Artist: 'I am Arletti del Aguila and I was born in Lima in 1964. I am responsible, hardworking and creative. I've always been interested in art. At a young age, I took up painting as a hobby and let my imagination fly. My inspiration was Peruvian art. I also took courses on other techniques, and I wanted to do something for myself. I taught classes and sold my own crafts. Eventually, I focused on contemporary handbags featuring Peru's renowned handwoven textiles. I'm very proud to be Peruvian and want our art, our roots, our cultural diversity and our history to be appreciated through our contemporary crafts. My designs are simple, natural and different, and I like to think people will use them every day.'...
