I'm not fond of the shea butter fragrance, and this didn't have any fragrance as far as I could detect, it absorbed well into my skin, and kept me from feeling dry. Having previously had a lot of success with Burt's face creams, I decided to give their lotion a shot. I've also heard all the hype about fragrance free being much better for the skin, so I picked up this bottle. The moisturizer does it's job - skin is soft, not dry. It's not a greasy formula, though absorption is only so-so. I actually think it makes my nails look healthier. So why 3 stars? Smell. I know this is supposed to be for sensitive skin and therefore fragrance free, but the natural fragrance of this lotion is not terribly pleasant, and it tends to hang out for awhile. I have eczema and this is the only lotion that I have found that keeps my skin clear and moisturized! I have no idea what I would do without it! I wish it was easier to find in stores, but I guess with it being fragrance free there isn't as high of a demand. Every year, when winter moves in, my hands begin to crack and even bleed. This year, I discovered this wonderful fragrance free lotion, and my hands are soft and smooth with 1 to 2 applications a day. Fragrance free is important to me, so as not to offend patients. This lotion has a natural smell, and as someone who has used pure raw shea butter alone, it is not a scent foreign to me, and is by no means offensive or overpowering. It simply smells like shea butter. I also use this lotion as a base for some aromatherapy essential oils when I am not at work.
