Helmet Kit 2017 is the perfect match if you are looking for a handheld shooting solution for Panasonic GH5 and DMW-XLR1. It consists of DMW-XLR1 microphone adapter shield and a compatible top handle.

Key Features
1. Compatible with SmallRig 1965 Cage for Panasonic GH5. Provides solid protection and more extension possibilities.
2. Comes with ARRI locating points and cold shoes on top handle for DIY camera setup.
3. Microphone can be mounted on integrated cold shoes on top handle or the XLR helmet. The plate is patterned with 1/4" and 3/8" threaded holes.
4. Top handle integrated a rod clamp, which can be utilized for attaching 15mm rod and EVF.
5. Comes with a magnet Allen key in the handle.

User Scenarios
1. Secure the XLR helmet on SmallRig 1965 Cage with two 1/4" screws. The helmet is designed for protecting the microphone adapter.
2. Slide in the NATO top handle on the XLR helmet. The height of top handle is adjustable (range 27.5mm). Handle is also adjustable in front-rear direction.
3. Mount a Rod Clamp 1995 on the front side of top handle, then insert 15mm rod to support more devices. 15mm rod can also be mounted in the integrated rod clamp of top handle. EVF can be mounted on 15mm rod.
4. XLR helmet comes with arrays of 1/4" and 3/8" threaded holes and cold shoes. Wireless or wired microphones can be mounted on the helmet plate.
