I searched for hours looking for a comparison between the two speakers, and couldn't find one. Hopefully google will take you to this review if you're looking for the same information!

The bottomline is as follows: although the hardware is exactly the same between the two products, the internals are completely different and you will have a much better experience with the UE MINI BOOM.

For the remainder of this review, I will refer to the MINI BOOM as UE and Mobile Boombox as Logitech (I know they are both owned by Logitech).

I tried to pinpoint the major differences:
- The UE mini boom volume is directly tied to your device's volume. No fine tuning allowed. The Logitech speaker has its own volume controls that let you dial in on the perfect volume for your environment (winner: Logitech)
- There is an App in the Apple App Store that lets you see battery life and connect a second UE to have a stereo steup (winner: UE)
- I played several songs over and over on the two bluetooth speakers and recruited a few friends to help me do a blind test. The UE is noticeably richer in sound and has a deeper bass. However, if you haven't heard the two devices side-by-side, you would probably still be very impressed with the Logitech sound quality (winner: UE).
- The packaging on the UE is nicer, if you're in to that kind of thing (winner: UE).
- Logitech is cheaper at the time of this review (winner: Logitech)

You will need to make your call on whether the improved sound quality and battery meter are worth the extra X dollars for the UE. That being said, you will not regret your purchase no matter which speaker you go with.

Before you read, this would be the "regular guy" review. Nothing is in it for me, I'm just trying to help you... Here we go:

So, so glad that I read the reviews on LOTS of speakers. The number one reason that I chose these are because they can be separated and play in stereo 1 left and 1 right OR set up to play stereo individually but placed in separate rooms playing the same content. Cool for sure...

On delivery to be honest, I was really disappointed in their super small size and was thinking that I got ripped... Just FYI

First set up was simple after downloading the mini boom app from the App Store. Using an IPAD and iPhone by the way if that matters.

Then with first initial play, the kids came out and said "Dad those sound awesome!" Then we used the stereo setting on the app and ""WHOA!" Hook up your seatbelt, these things are incredible.
Sound reproduction is really VERY good.

So then I decided to really put them to the test. Went to the App Store looking for a quality EQ and found it inside an "in app" download within the Denon Headphone audio app. The Denon app is free but the in App eq is 1.99 and worth it.

Then spent the next hour putting these 2 little champs to work. What I found is that obviously the lower that you place these, the deeper the bass response. Which is pretty good for their size.

Everyone's ears are different, but to me, overall quality of sound is really good. And you can pump them up to pretty loud.

These are really better than what I expected to find when I when I went searching, so I'm really pleased.

They are very well built with rubber covering the outside, so that's a plus for me.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my wife. All I can say is...wow! I'm not going to pretend this performs as well as the PSB 4T speakers I have in my family room, but for a portable speaker that my wife can (and does, daily) carry in her purse to work and such, it is simply phenomenal. She uses it at work. She uses it in the kitchen. She uses it while she puts on her makeup. She uses it while doing chores. The sound that comes out of this small speaker is astounding. I've been a musician for over 40 years; I know what a quality speaker is supposed to sound like. For its size and purpose, this speaker sounds great. The bass port really does work well. Park it close to a wall or other reflecting surface, and you get admirable bass response from something that fits in the palm of your hand. The bluetooth functionality links quickly and works flawlessly. Battery life on a charge is impressive, too. I wondered whether it would be worth the hundred bucks I paid for it. Simple answer; it is worth every cent.

I was lucky enough to receive the Mini Boom as a gift. I like it so much that I'm willing to write a review online. I've had a few Bluetooth/wireless speakers and speaker phones in the past but none compare to the UE Mini Boom. I usually stay away from Bluetooth speakers in general because the quality is never very good, especially when you start to approach the standard Bluetooth range of 30 feet. So when I saw that the Mini Boom has a range of 50 ft, I was skeptical to say the least. Well, I've tested this extensively (I'm in IT) and I'm super impressed. I've been at the 50 ft range with multiple walls (in an apartment) between me and the speaker without any degradation at all. Typically, any walls between you and the device will start to shrink the range drastically but not with the MB. It produces great sound, is small and portable, and looks great. I think I might by a second so that I can have the dual speaker experience. The app is cool too because you can control the EQ. I just wish you could turn it on/off from the app but you have to do that with the switch on the speaker itself. However, it will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity. Obviously, I recommend this product. Well done Logitech.
