Tips to fly a kite:
Preparation for flying an octopus: - Observe the direction and speed of the wind.
While flying the kites:
- Light wind? Run upwind holding kite's spool and pay attention to the situation of the kite behind you until the kite flies up.
- Strong wind? simply pull in the string to lower the kite.
- When wind speed increases, your kite line may pull harder or your kite may loop or dive. You can ease this by letting out some line
- If wind stops, shake the octopus several times or run backward, or pull in the strings quickly
- If you tangle lines with another kite, don't yank the line or it might break. Fliers should walk together and the tangle will slide right down the line to where you can unwrap it.
