Just fill the built in reservoir with water, and whenever you close the jaws of this iron a mist of steam will be sprayed out along a groove in the heating plate.

To Straighten Hair:
Starting with dry, combed hair, separate out a section of hair with your fingers.
Open the flat iron and close it around the section of hair, starting near the scalp.
At a medium-slow pace, draw the closed flat iron out along the length of the hair.
For a slight curl at the ends, twist the flat iron as you reach the final inches of hair.

To Curl Hair:
The flat iron can also be used to add soft curls or waves to hair.
Start with a section of hair as above and close the flat iron around it near the scalp.
Give the flat iron a 360° rotation so the hair section is wrapped around the iron.
Slowly draw the closed iron down the length of the hair.

Note:
It's normal for this iron to make a sizzling sound when it's used with the steam option on.
Use only clean tap water to fill the steam reservoir; no essential oils or hair products.
Avoid spilling water on the flat iron when filling the reservoir.
If the steam mist port becomes clogged, clean it with a cotton swab.
Don't remove the cotton wick from the steam water reservoir.
