This Stage 2 Sealed Intake in testing resulted in 19 horsepower and 27 lbs. x ft. torque and outflowed the factory intake by up to 50%. Fully enclosed in a rotomolded plastic housing; this air intake system features a washable/reusable conical air filter that improves airflow for increased horsepower and torque. The housing features an auxiliary inlet duct for increased air volume as well as an attractive black powder-coated cover that provides ready access to the filter for servicing. This intake system also features a heat-insulating rotomolded plastic tube that replaces the stock intake tract and directs increased air flow with improved volumetric efficiency for maximum performance. The filter is constructed with 100% polyurethane for long life and multiple cleaning cycles. Sealed Intake Design: A completely sealed rotomolded plastic housing with a black powder-coated top keeps warm engine air out and allows for a cooler, fresher, denser air intake charge. Auxiliary air scoop: The sealed housing features an auxiliary air inlet scoop that allows for increased air volume into the intake for increased performance and improved throttle response. 5-1/2" conical Air Filter: This intake utilizes a huge 5-1/2" 360° radial flow Pro 5R performance air filter for maximum flow. This 5-layer progressive, oiled cotton gauze air filter provides 98% efficiancy for maximum flow for increased horsepower and torque. Hassle-Free Installation: aFe has developed this intake to provide a hassle-free installation utilizing all factory mounting locations and including all hardware needed for installation. Dyno-Tuned Intake Tube: The intake tube has been engineered and dyno-tested for maximum air flow and velocity for increased performance.
