Colors Awesome Fun Colors About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words. Functional， Fashionable and Fun How did you come up with the idea for this product? The initial idea came from Pavel who had to hold his phone to watch videos during a flight. Then it was a few friends sitting around talking tech. We all had different phones， some had cases on their phones， some didn?�t and we all thought it would be cool to have a phone stand that would be there when you actually needed one， but would not be intrusive. We wanted a stand that was not phone or case specific. And as tech lovers we knew it had to be something simple， cool， sleek and most importantly functional. Though it seems like a simple product it took a great deal of engineering and we went through a lot of different design concepts， prototypes， testing and tweaking to create SlideStand. What makes your product special? SlideStand is a simple product， but unique enough to be patented. It allows you to do more with your phone without needing a salt and pepper shaker. The color combinations allow it to be as subtle， thoughtful， or as bold and exciting as you want. What has been the best part of your startup experience? It has and continues to be a very interesting journey that tested our technical skills， our understandings of starting and running a business， but more than that， it tested our perseverance in the face of numerous obstacles. The process also confirmed our ethical dedication to responsible manufacturing. We had some fights， we had some laughs and overall this brought us closer together as friends.
