The Katadyn 8013624 'Combi' Replacement Carbon Two-Pack is activated carbon granulate for the multiple-application pump filter. The Combi filter itself is a silver-impregnated ceramic with the activated carbon inside. Activated carbon is used in combination with the ceramic for its ability to reduce harmful organic and inorganic substances, like unpleasant tastes odors, pesticides (lindane, DDT) and trihalomethanes (THMs).
